The straight bladed knife is typically used for grafting because the pointed end allows for easy cutting for a rind or bark graft and the straight blade is better for cutting whip and tongues grafts. It can also be used for budding. 2.25” blade
The round bladed knife is typically best used for budding trees as the shorter blade is more conducive to cutting buds from scionwood in a quick easy motion. 1.75” blade
